Park Profiles Week One

* Anthony Szeliga *

Welcome to Park Profiles! The purpose of this project is to give local kparks riders a spotlight for others to learn more about them as well as to showcase their athletic skills. I will be focusing on capturing each rider in a unique way by using techniques that I believe work best with their style.

My first ever profile is Anthony! Anthony is that friend who is always down for any adventure on or off the hill. He puts a lot of effort into his snowboarding from hiking features, to night sessions at Darkside, to working on park crew where he has the opportunity to ride every day.

Anthony drove to Killington from his hometown, Niagara, for the week to get some laps in before heading west for the winter. He spent the summer renovating his home, aka, box truck. Below, there are photos that I took of the new siding and cabinets he built himself.

Anthony's favorite snowboarder is the one having the most fun.

Is there someone you look up to who is not a skier or snowboarder?

Anthony said while many of his friends do snowboard, he looks up to the people he is surrounded with and what they are doing or have done.

Favorite pocket snack?

Anthony doesn't usually have pocket snacks, but he most definitely has a pack of smokes in his pocket.

Goals for the season?

Anthony is looking forward to riding at mountains besides the one he is working at to ride new terrain and features.

THANK YOU, ANTHONY, for your time to help me create my first post of the season. I know Anthony inspires everyone around him from his positive and genuine attitude towards winter sports and life, and I am excited to see what his future holds.

Best of luck out west this winter!
