Park Profiles Week Five

* Teddy Cohen*

This week's featured athlete is Teddy. I met him for some mornings laps, contradicting his IG handle, @teddyatnight. So, this is the @teddyatdaytime Park Profile (haha).

Teddy grew up in rural Woodstock, Connecticut. For his 12th birthday, his parents bought him a skateboard which quickly led him to his new favorite hobby, skateboarding, that he pursued for fun during middle and high school. After high school, Teddy stopped skateboarding and went to college, and he even started a band after called Kroma Kode that toured around New England.

In 2020, he came to Vermont to work without ever having the intention of snowboarding. He ended up trying snowboarding after being convinced by a local, and the rest is history.

"I originally came to Vermont for work with no intentions of snowboarding. The first time I tried, I felt sturdy on my feet from my old skateboard experience and thought to myself, I can do this. Everyone in Killington was so cool, so I knew that I had found my people and that this is where I belonged. I dropped everything to move to Vermont and snowboard every day, and that was the best decision I have ever made." -Teddy
