Week 3 - Annie Ruffus

I had the pleasure of talking to and photographing Annie Ruffus this week! I asked her if I could take her photo and ask her some questions and she happily said yes, so thank you, Annie, for your support!

Annie is from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, but she currently lives in Hampton, New Hampshire with her husband and two kids. Her and her husband coach for the Killington Ski Club on the weekends, and both her kids are in the freestyle mogul program. Her family camps in their RV on the weekends.

Annie has been skiing for 42 years. She grew up skiing at Mt Tom in Holyoke, Massachusetts, but has been coming to Killington forever. “It’s so engrained in my life”, she said. Annie met her husband on Outer Limits! She was skiing down while he was on the chairlift. What an awesome story to tell, especially for two avid skiers. 

Annie’s favorite part of winter is… spring! Spring skiing, spring bumps, and all the riding in March and April is her favorite part of the skiing season. Great choice, Annie!

Annie is almost 50 and she is still trying to ski bumps better. She said an important part of her skiing schedule is staying in shape during the week for skiing on the weekends. 

It was fun talking and skiing with Annie. She rips!!
